FRONTIER YURTS
ABOUT-
Jason has been involved with timber, tree care and arboriculture for over 20 years through his tree surgery
and woodland management business https://rixonswood.co.uk/
In 2009 Jason built his first yurt for himself and his family to live in.
Since then he has learnt to make various sized yurts; from cozy 20ft yurts, through to 40ft event yurts.
He now lives on a large farm in the Cotswolds where he makes his yurts and also helps manage the trees and woodlands on the farm; where some of the timber for his yurts are sourced.

FRONTIER YURTS-

Over recent years certain aspects of yurt design have progressed with the advancement of better canvasses and insulations; allowing yurts to be comfortably lived in all year round and in some fairly extreme environments;
from regions with heavy snow fall or in damp woodland settings, to dry hot arid zones.

This has led Jason to design and offer 2 kinds of yurts based on the environment the yurt is to be sited in and the intended use of the yurt.
Firstly, a traditional cotton canvas yurt.
And secondly a PVC canvas yurt.

Both use the same wooden frame structure fashioned on the traditional Mongolian yurt but then covered with a suitable canvas to meet the specific needs of each yurt
